  1. LOCKER-Plus v2.00    In Case of Emergencies:

  3. If you are unable to remove metering via LOCKCON, you can manually
  4. remove metering by one of two ways:
  5.   1) Running RESET.EXE on the metered program.
  6.  
  7.     Example:
  8.  
  9.       RESET F:\PUBLIC\APPS\WINWORD\WINWORD.EXE
  10.  
  11.     Please note, try running reset even if you do not see the
  12.     original program since in some cases the metering can still be
  13.     removed.

  16.   2) Check to see if you have a file with the same name as the
  17.      metered program but with a @@@ extension. It will be a hidden file so
  18.      you will need to first remove the hidden attribute. If you find a
  19.      file with the @@@ extension, rename the original to a temporary name
  20.      and then rename the one with the @@@ extension to the original name
  21.  
  22.     Example:
  23.       RENAME F:\WINWORD\WINWORD.EXE F:\WINWORD\WINWORD.BAK
  24.       ATTRIB F:\WIWWORD\WINWORD.@@@ -h
  25.       RENAME F:\WINWORD\WINWORD.@@@ WINWORD.EXE

  29. If after manually removing metering the program still shows up in the
  30. Lockcon Console, you can hilite the entry and then press the F12 key.
  31. You will be asked if you want to clear the entry. This will move the
  32. entry from the Locker Console.
